Trendhunting and aesthetics

Aesthetics is the science of perception; it encompasses the first two stages of aesthetic perception/sense of aesthetics, namely the stage of simple perception of physical properties such as color, sound, and gestures, and the much more complex and difficult-to-define physical reactions. The second stage involves combining these properties into shapes and patterns that are pleasing and satisfy our sense of aesthetics.

In all definitions and statements related to aesthetics, we find a human element that corresponds to the concept of a sense of beauty in art and is the aesthetic sensitivity of a person. This sensitivity is a static characteristic, while the variable factor here is understanding, which a person builds from their abstract mental impressions, their intellectual life, to which we owe the variable element in art, expression, and meaning.

From this statement, a simple conclusion follows: the degree of our aesthetic sensitivity depends on the richness of our intellectual life, our level of civilization, and our understanding of the reactions occurring in our minds. In this case, a trend hunter can be considered a kind of guide, with a significantly more advanced sensitivity, looking from the perspective of a person who, due to their function, sets the prevailing aesthetic trends and forms and translates them into real products or company actions.

Therefore, in our country, we still need to cultivate a group of mature recipients, because what can we expect from children raised in gray housing estates?

Aesthetics, surprisingly and incomprehensibly for some, can, in my opinion, influence society; the introduction of aesthetic norms and their control can lead to changes in how we perceive and understand our surroundings. As is widely known, an aesthetically pleasing environment changes how it is perceived, making it more positive, which can lead to many other changes.
